Melodyne cannot be bypassed

I’m unable to bypass the Melodyne editor plugin when used as an audio channel insert.
Only by opening the Melodyne GUI and clicking the power-button can it be bypassed.

In my case Cubase pro 8.0.0 x64, win 8.1 x64, melodyne editor v2.2 x64.

Can anyone reproduce this and confirm/deny?

This is absolutely normal with Melodyne. Don’t know why, but I use Melodyne for years and it has always been this way

You don’t have to open Melodyne to power off. Just Opt/Alt click on the bypass button in the insert rack. That at least saves a little time.
