Same issue here!.. and it seems that there is no solution since December 2014 (Steinberg Forums)…
The solution I found for now is to download the previous version (ver.7) and work with that until they fix the error, who know when! …

In case you don’t use video in Cubase at all, you could also remove the video components from the “Components” folder in the Cubase folder.Let me know if that works for you. We are still investigating this issue!
