Merge Midi Not Working in Cubase 14

Hi

Quick question. I’m sure I used to be able to do this. If I have a midi region, say between bars 5 and 9 That has a Kick drum and a snare pattern I like. And I want to combine it with a Hi hat pattern I like at bar 16 that last 4 bars as well. I am sure I used to drag and drop the first onto the second glue em and combined !

BTW Merge midi in loop doesn’t work either ??

Why ?

Hi,

I believe, you are talking about MIDI Parts.

You can simply Glue them by using the Glue tool.

Doesn’t work. Used to

Works on my computer. Try to start Cubase in Safe Mode and disble Program Preferences (not delete, just disable).

Hi,

Could you make a video screen recording, please?

That didn’t work either

Exactyl which version number of Cubase are using and exactly which OS?

Cubase 14.0.20 build 240 : WINDOWS 11

In Cubase go to Edit → Profile Manager
There please create a NEW profile. Select to use the new profile. You might have to restart Cubase.
Any changes? if not you can switch back to the previous profile.

That WORKED !!!

WTF

thank you!

can you explain what’s happened

A new profile replaces more files of the preferences with factory settings than the Safe Mode option.

So was the default profile I was using corrupted ?

e

Not the profile, but one of the entries to one of the files in the preferences folder of Cubase. Hard to tell which one.
A new profile exchanges all these files to factory ones.
