Merging layers at different levels problem

After gaining a little familiarity with this program, I decided to experiment. I had a short project where I recorded drums with mics into track, BD, SD, HH, CB, TT, FT, LOV & ROV.

So ROV (right overhead mic) has a lot of bass drum and I though I would take that out and add to the bass drum track. So I used Spectralayers to separate that into components. The transient one has the most BD, so I created a new layer from BD and track, made a low frequency selection, for the BD component of the transient layer and then moved arranged the BD layer so it would below and then chose cut special to layer below.

But becuase, I guess it is at another level, instead a new layer was created with that component. And if I want to merge that layer up to the BD layer, then I will have the same problem of parent child.

How would this be done?

You can use Unmix Drums…
