Metronome being recorded directly into audio track

Hello!

I am using Cubasis 3 on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

The equipment I have hooked up is:

  • Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen interface
  • Akai MPK Miniplay 3
  • Arturia MicroFreak

When I arm a track with my midi and record with the metronome on, everything is fine during playback. All you hear is the midi.

When I arm a track a record using my MicroFreak, the metronome gets recorded into the actual mix (you can see the spikes in the audio wave).

I have the synth hooked to input 1, my routing input is correct, I’m using headphones so there is no bleed through.

Why is the metronome being recorded directly into the audio on the audio track but not with my midi? It’s driving me insane lol

I’m very new to this and have been trouble shooting for days now.

In Settings - Audio - Input & Output devices, which input device do you have selected?

The Scarlett 2i2 is what I have selected.

Please take a look at our “Getting Started with Cubasis” tutorial, which walks you through all the steps of a complete music production using Cubasis.

While the tutorial was created using the iOS version of the app (which offers additional features due to the platform), it should still help you quickly become familiar with how to use Cubasis. You will also find many more tutorials on the same channel.

On Android, it depends on the device in use whether an external audio device can be used with Cubasis. If you encounter any issues, please refer to this article for more details.
