METRONOME; CAN'T SWITCH OFF DURING PLAYBACK!

Hi

Im recording the tracks using cubase le 4. Im using the metronome to keep me in time during recording, but when ive adjusted the settings following the instruction manual selecting the option that means the metronome won’t be audible during playback, it still is!

Under transport, in metronome setup, I have selected the metronome in record, and deselected the metronome in play. The metronome is audible in both the recording and playback!

Anyone know how to fix this or where im going wrong?

Much appreciated for any help!

You could always switch the metronome off when you don’t want it by toggling the “Click” button on the transport bar.

Shouldn’t be better if cubase only metronome during record but not when playback. In that case we don’t do extra job

I’d rather be able to use the metronome during playback as well
I always practice recording a few times before actually recording, or improvising some parts to a song without a clear rhytm section done.
