Micro Tuner doesn't work at all

I use Nuendo 12 and the Micro Tuner doesn’t work with any VSTi. Not with standalone synths and instruments, not with Kontakt or Sine player, not with Steinberg instruments like Retrologue.

It only works with VSTs that have implemented the command. NI has not.

It does work with Retrologue , so maybe try again

weird, now it does work with Retrologue. But is there a list of VST’s that work? Cause it seems quite limited. NI doesn’t, spitfire doesn’t, Arturia doesn’t, etc

Microtonal Tuning for MIDI Keyboard

Cubase supports it for all the multitimbral instruments they sell, and you can use the midi insert “Micro tuner” with those. For other company’s VSTs like Kontakt I find it easier to do it different ways. If you describe how you use microtonality, I’ll give you more info if I can.

I just tested out the Micro Tuner MIDI insert in Nuendo 13, using Steinberg’s “Trip” simple little synthesizer, and was pleasantly surprised to find it working fine. The only thing is that it was only micro-tuning MIDI playback, but not live playing (but I am probably being dumb and need to tweak some setting somewhere).

Anyhow, this is really great, as I need to test out various synthesizing just intonation tuning regimes on pieces of music quickly in a digital demo project, before committing to a multitrack analog recording of my modular synthesizer. The only way it could be even more convenient is if we could apply this tuning to the project as a whole, affecting all MIDI tracks.
