Microtonal playback reverts back to 12-TET when using staccato articulation

Good evening,

I am working with Dorico’s Microtonal functionalites and have been very satisfied by their capabilities; however, i’ve noticed that when using a staccato articulation for strings (Halion HSO), the playback tuning reverts back to normal (12-TET instead of 31-TET in this case).

I’ve tried to mess a bit with the expression map, but to no avail (I’m not that expert, as a matter of fact). I was able to substitute the staccato sample with a normal note duration change, so now the notes with the dot above can be played back in the correct tuning; but the effect is terrible, of course! It’s a real shame, since the staccato patch sounds incredible, and it would be great it could be compatible with micotuning; maybe I’m doing something wrong? I’ve read somewhere that maybe it has to do with the pitch bend information arriving too late for the short note to register? But then why does the pizzicato patch work perfecly, retaining the correct microtuning?

Any kind of help would be very welcome.

Thanks

Giacomo

Can you upload a file that demonstrates the problem?

Yes, of course!

Here is an example with normal, staccato and pizzicato articulation, along with the audio and file.

Here is the dorico file; i don’t know why, but i can’t upload the .doricolib file for the 31-EDO library that i used. If you need it i can share a google drive link.

Example.dorico (1,4 MB)

Thanks for the reply!
