In the attached example, I would expect the semiquaver to quaver syncopation to be affected by ‘Flow Options: Notation of short-long patterns’. It isn’t.
Would it be possible to have a separate option for this in compound time?
I would never notate as in the example - properly clunky…
This isn’t covered by the current options for syncopation, as far as I know, but rather by the convention that within a compound beat or a bar of a simple triple meter, under most circumstances you should show all of the beat divisions or subdivisions. I agree that I would certainly be able to read this particular rhythm more easily if it used a quaver rather than a tied semiquaver, however.
