I may have missed it but I can’t seem to find a tool that will build a chord track based on the midi notes in the project. Right now I have to bounce it out to audio and listen to it through Chordata to get the chords. There should be an easier way.

There is a very very easy way. Select the notes in the key editor and then click Create Chord Symbols.

Old thread but still holds true today with Cubase Pro 9 so a big thanks for making my life a whole lot easier.
As a alternative you can open chord track editor (double click a chord event), make sure ‘midi input’ is selected, play notes via midi.
