Midi colors

Happy new year, guys!
Please tell me what am I doing wrong? Why is the drawing new midi colors notes in dark blue and the rest are bright green? I can’t figure it out. Thanks

Hi,

Because you set the Key Editor to show the colors of the Parts.

Does this mean I can change different midi colors manually?

Hi,

You can change, the colour scheme. By default the quieter notes are blue and the louder notes are red. You can also choose different colours by the MIDI Channel, by the Chords and Scales, etc.

I sorry but I don’t understand how event colors by “part” works. It does not change color by velocity or pitch. But somehow it changed color to blue. Why some are green and the other are blue? How do I change the colors while in “part” mode? Thanks

Hi,

On your 1st screenshot have a look to the toolbar, where you can see the palette icon and the Parts text. Click on it to change the colour scheme.

Ok I got it now lol ctrl+alt+C to open color pallete. Either color the clip, or I can individually colorize notes! Thanks!

Hi,

This is something different, but also useful.

You can have the Notes in the Key Editor be color coded by a variety of different criteria. The default is Velocity.
