I haven’t proven this, but as I read the manual on how to create a new MIDI device I think I’ve found it.
My SPD-30 was somehow identified in Cubase, I assume the USB driver “talked” to the program somehow. Anyway, when connected to USB, the sound module won’t respond to CC4 (CC#4) hi-hat foot controller messages. When I hook my computer to a MIDISport 4x4, the messages are received and everything responds as it should.
I’d really like USB to work, so I figured I’d just make a new device for the SPD-30. However, when I see the new MIDI device dialog CC04 does not appear as an option. Is there a way to incorporate CC04 into a new MIDI device?
