Turn down the PC booted up cubase 15 pro and in the studio set up there were no devices displayed at all. Outside of v15 standalone versions of VSTi also had no active midi ports/ inputs
After lots of time with Microsoft Support investigating things, it was still broken… but I was recommended downloading the midi fix tools that Windows provides
And I ran the thing called midi fix Reg and that seemed to cure the problems initially
Apparently, the KORG driver install program screws the win registry up and so I had to take my kronos out of the studio set up for the time being…might have to go pure midi in/outs only and ignore the driver
However, once back in V 15, it became apparent that creating a midi or instrument track and using one of the now visible inputs, no Sound was being heard, only when I tried using the monitor button on the track did I hear anything from playing an external keyboard
Went back to V 14 and it doesn’t have the same problem…all has been raised as a ticket with Steinberg
Also, legacy VSTi like m-tron pro or VSM from gforce no longer receive midi input in standalone mode only working as plugins in the DAWs
So anyone else had problems?
