MIDI device not detected, no ports available

Hello everyone, I’m a new Cubase 13 Pro user.

I’m trying to add my midi keyboard to the daw without any success. It is powered on before the program starts.
Given that Cubase doesn’t detect it automatically, I’m trying to add it manually from MIDI Remote, but I can’t finalize the procedure because I see no MIDI in/outs.

From what I understand I should see some kind of ports available in studio configuration, but I can see none.

I’ve tried to randomly activate the options below and reinitialize, but nothing showed up.

I’m surely missing something dumb, but I can’t see it.
I’m on Windows 11.
Any clue?

MIDI Remote has nothing to do with the issue described. If Cubase cannot find your MIDI ports, chances are that so do Windows. Which MIDI Keyboard do you have? Is it a USB-MIDI device? If so, you most probably have to install the drivers that come with it.

I see.
The keyboard is a M-Audio Keystation 61 MK3. I already checked for drivers, but there are none. The device works fine in Reaper.

Can you see your MIDI controller in the Device Manager?

The device was there but it had some kind of odd i/o warning and was suspended. I just disconnected and re-connected and now everything works like a charm.

Thanks for your help.
