Midi dropping out

I tend to write in four or eight bar sequences. So I’ve created a new track around a sequence that is already programmed on a VST synth. One note played gives a long sequence. After 5 bars a second note is played as well changing the sequence. I copy this 8 bars (two notes) sequence several times to play one after the other and adding other instruments. When I hit play the first eight bars play normally as expected. The next eight bar sequences do not play. I have tried putting in a small gap at the beginning of the bar to see if that would solve it but no. However, if I add all the eight bar sequences to the track in Arranger mode everything lays as it should. No dropouts.
Is this a bug? or is it something I’m not doing?

Hi,

To me it looks like the other 8 bars are out of the MIDI Part range. Could you attach a screenshot, please?

Hi Martin - thank you for helping - don’t really understand what you mean by “out of midi part range” Can I send you a video? via We transfer? It shows clearly what’s happening but the limit here is 4megs and the video is 8megs - I don’t think a screenshot would help. - Hamish

Hi Martin,
Thought I’d try emailing - maybe I can send you a video - the 8 bar sequences are just copies of the original which is two notes which become three after five bars.
Video attached
Thank you

Hi,

Send the video link here in the forum, please.

Hi,

See the attached screenshot, please. The grey notes are out of the MIDI Part.

Ok Martin, thanks to you I’ve found the solution - look at the screenshot - one note overhangs the sequence, I cut it to stay within the eight bars and everything plays as it should.
Many thanks
