Perhaps I’m asking a weird question. In a project I have been requested to use piano sounds for all instruments for easy of aural proofing.
Upon exporting Audio everything is fine, as expected.
Upon exporting MIDI, though, the original instruments are exported.
The client can certainly use MP3 but they preferred MIDI if possible. I know very little of this so any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!
MIDI doesn’t include sounds, of course, but it will include whatever program and controller changes are output by Dorico when playing back. You could open the MIDI file in whatever application you have for working with MIDI files and set the program change for each track to zero, which will map to an acoustic grand piano sound in General MIDI.

Thanks!
So the portion avoid MIDI endpoint configuration in Play mode will do nothing about this, right? Is there any way to set the program change for each track to 0 from within Dorico?
