MIDI files: lyrics not visible in the score editor

When importing a MIDI file in Cubase Elements, the drum track on ch. 10 couldn’t be heard: I noticed that you need to unlink it then relink it to the gm drum map in the inspector then you can hear it.
Also, the lyrics of a karaoke/MIDI file are not visible in the score editor despite the “import karaoke lyrics as text” option being active: I couldn’t solve this problem.

I’ve just installed the new 14.0.10 version and the lyrics problem is fixed but not the drum map one.

I have the same two problems. I figured it out with the drums, but how did you solve the lyrics? It doesn’t even load the sysex track. I just noticed that it loads it on midi track 1 and when I open the score editor, the lyrics are there. This wasn’t the case until now.

Hi Robert, honestly I didn’t even notice that it didn’t load the sysex track, anyway the list editor is not available in the Elements version of Cubase. Regarding the lyrics I don’t know how the program behaved before, I’m sorry.

Hi. Yes, I have artist 13 and 14. My older machine has 9.5 pro. The 14 does not load the contents of the sysex track, where the text can be read in the score editor. (The list editor is not needed for this.) However, it inserts the text on the first midi track among the other data, which is strange. The drums on track 10 are fine, you just have to manually re-set them, like you did. It’s a bit strange, but you can live with it.
