Very much appreciate the motion/modulators section in Cubase Pro.
I’ve always made use of the MIDI functions library and logical editor. I have long appreciated the curve drawing for CC changes and similar items.
It would be great to see some kind of grid palette for functions that could be dragged onto MIDI events. For example drag on a saw tooth for the CC of your choice, a velocity crescendo, dimunendo etc. Instrument tracks with MIDI can in part do this from the m, however if you are simply editing a MIDI track for an external instrument/module, a quick implementation solution would be nice. Of course I’m well versed with the MIDI FX editor, the palette could be a useful tool to experiment quickly (imagining MIDI tracks in lane mode so your dragged in MIDI function can be seen/soloed).
Hardware mapping was a large part of the Cubase development sphere for a long time.
With the correct CC maps, perhaps even SYSEX, an option for the user community to develop and post maps of their synths/grooveboxes/drums machines on the web.
