Here is a weird one, don’t think I’ve seen it before.
Most of my attached MIDI devices appear to be sending info to Cubase (it appears in the MIDI monitor in the lower toolbar) but this MIDI is not being seen in any MIDI or instrument tracks.
As far as I can recall it was working fine a few days ago.
Starting with Preferences disabled doesn’t solve it. Cubase 13.051 works just fine.
In the inspector of the instrument track make sure the input is set for all midi inputs.
Thanks yes, makes no difference whether set for all or the specific device.
The bizarre thing is that I have one device that is functioning as usual with the MIDI getting through.
On the other hand it’s strange that the same file works fine in Cubase 13 but not 14. so I don’t think it’s hardware related.
Seem to have solved it by deleting all the preference xml files that were modified today..

EDIT…it was of course the Defaults.xml file in particular that I had to delete to force its recreation. Not worked out which part of it yet.
