midi interface not showing in device setup but in device manager

I have a Motu that used to come up in Cubase before I moved. Now it appears in Windows device manager, but not in the device set-up in Midi of Cubase. What could it be?

What computer OS?
What Cubase version?
Are you starting your Motu before or after starting Cubase? You need to start Cubase first.

PC WinPro 10.0.17134 x64 Motu always on prior CB V8.5

Well… like I said, you probably need to start Cubase first then “power on” the Motu.

This issue was fixed starting with Cubase version 9.

I have the same issue, funnily enough after my move also.

My Setup:
CB Artist 6
Win XP SP3
M-Audio USB Midisport 4x4
I tried your suggestion of starting the Midi interface after CB but doesn’t help. Shows up fine in Device Mgr. but not at all in CB. Don’t recall having this issue before. I did have issues installing the drivers successfully but sorted that out.

Any ideas??
