MIDI Input does not work when Playback is disabled. (the big power button off)
I have set Dorico to disable Playback when opening projects. This way, I can make changes without loading instruments to RAM.
MIDI Input not being available makes workflow slower in my case.
Its intended behaviour, a bug or I am doing something wrong?

Yes, I see this.
As a workaround you can load the “silence” playback template, which doesn’t load any instruments and let’s you activate the playback for the project.

But loading any playback template deletes Mixer settings, which is also weird behaviour.
