MIDI legato control stopped working?

I was using it extensively only days ago on the same project file.
I have not changed any setting in regard to the legato control.
It is set to 40 ticks overlap and set to a hot-key.
Selecting notes and using either the hot-key or the button in the MIDI inspector yields absolutely no change in note lengths.

Ideas??

Figured it out.

Cubase will not overlap quantized full notes with the legato tool. It assumes them to be “legato” in the first place, hence no change.

As a workaround I made a macro to shorten the lengths slightly, then apply the legato, and this makes the desired overlap.
