Does Dorico 5 allow keyboard midi mapping in both desktop and iPad? I would like to assign buttons or keys on my midi keyboard to different functions like selecting note values, i.e. quarter, half, whole, eigth, etc. Is this possible?
Yes, in the Preferences > Key Commands section.
Thank you!
I found the midi mapping but I can’t find how to map to note values. I want button 1 on my midi controller to select 1/16 note like the #4 button does on the keypad of my keyboard. Is that possible? Where do I find that in the Midi Learn section?
A bit late perhaps - hope that you already found out - but for future referene it is under “Set Note Duration”
The issue with mapping MIDI events is that it is too basic in Dorico.
What I mean is that one can for example assign a CC# as a shortcut to a command but not a specific CC# value or value range (value range would open some interesting possibilities of controlling certain functions with sliders on the MIDI kbd).
I would really hope to see this in unforseeable future!
