I am using the NI Komplete Kontrol S61 as my midi controller. When I press the keys I can see the midi signal in the transport window. The signal is not activating the VST instruments. My midi ports are active and visible in the Device setup. However, the keyboard is not listed in the drop down menu of the midi device manager. So, I created a generic instrument which did not solve my problem.
The curious things is the following. When I open my VST instruments in stand alone mode, my keyboard controller does activate the sounds. The keyboard also works well with Maschine.
I suspect that cubase is receiving the midi signal but the software is not passing midi to the VST plugins.
