I am trying to record a midi strings part. I can’t understand why at the end of the recorded part, the last recorded note is stuck making a continuous sound on playback. Is it perhaps a result of me using the sustain pedal when recording? I have noticed this also happens when using pad patches as well.
Yes, likely the sustain pedal. Does the note ‘stick on’ when you don’t use the pedal, or when you lift the pedal off during recording?
I’ve been playing around with audio strings from my Korg Kronos and midi strings from Halion 6 and I don’t seem to have that problem. The problem seems to be with the recently downloaded Spitfire BBC Symphony strings. There must be some incompatibility with the Spitfire software and Cubase. Great shame as it is a wonderful string patch.
