Aloha,
I have a midi track feeding a Kontakt Instrument track.
The Kontakt Instrument has some added Midi Effect presets (harmonizer + Echo).
I would like to output this to another track so I can route/feed those notes into a different Instrument or another midi Track.
Can do? How?
ps. I know I can add midi effects on the original midi track but in this case I don’t want to.
thanks in advance.
Hi,
I don’t think so. VSTis don’t send any MIDI out in general, there is no virtual MIDI port for this.
This may be a solution. I’ll have to try it when I get home. Sending MIDI Out from Kontakt - YouTube
Yup, this should work for sure.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work.
If anyone figures this out, please post a reply so we all can know how to do it.
EDIT (some Drag & Drop possibilities):
Just so you know, sczc’s script works like charm. szcz's audio adventures: Recording generated MIDI to drag'n'drop object in Kontakt
You don’t need to mess around with Kontakt’s Engine Midi Output setting because that doesn’t seem to do anything in Cubase.
