In every cubase version up to now, I have been able to select a fader on the x-touch and hold down shift, then select another fader which selects all faders in between.
Same thing for control when I want to select more than one fader.
This no longer works, and this is just using MC mode.
Is there a toggle I don’t know about??
Or is this just broken?
Thanks,
Max
Hi,
This is a known and already reported issue. Thank you.
Will there be a fix soon?
Had to go back to V12 due to this broken workflow…
Thanks

Hi @MaxNorman ,
Do you use MIDI Remote or Mackie Control protocol, please?
Hi - I use both of these to talk to Cubase - neither one works when attempting to shift-select…
Thanks
M
Mackie here seems to follow Shift/Ctrl with the select buttons as expected. Maybe you have the same port assigned to your midi remote and somehow it consumes the messages?
So when you select a fader, hold down cntrl key and select another fader - are BOTH now selected?
Thanks
M
OK - well I got no answer from that request…
Also - this is still broken in 14.
Does anyone know of a workaround?
Thanks
Max
Any word on a fix for this?
Hi,
Did you hold down the Shift key on the hardware (X-Touch) or on your computer keyboard, please?
Please note that in order for other users to see the messages, it would be a good idea to tag them. For example, I totally miss this question:
Even back in CB10.5 I cannot use shift/ctrl to select another track using the faders. What is working up to CB12 is holding shift/ctrl and pressing the select buttons. I don’t know, perhaps in your case, the faders are sending also a “select” command?
But then, from CB13 and now in CB14 this no longer works unfortunately. I guess it’s a miss.
And a final note, I’m talking strictly about the Mackie mode. The MIDI Remote never implemented this functionality.
Yes - the behringer sends a select when fader is touched.
This worked up to V12, broken since then.
So I guess no solution?
Martin?
You did say this was fixed in 13 but I found it was still broken…
Hi,
Sorry, I’m still not sure, about the exact steps, you do…
Hi - I hold down shift or control on the computer keyboard…
Then with shift or cntrl key held down, I select a second channel with x-touch (midi) - (x-touch issues a select when I touch another fader).
Now - selecting on the x-touch deselects first channel, but on the cubase mixer, select ADDS the second fader to the selection…
If this is unclear I can post a vid…
