Is there a way to geht the song position in bars via MIDI Remote ans also a way to set it via MIDI Remote?
I tested mTransport.mTimeDisplay.mPrimary.mTransportLocator, but it changes when you change the display format.
Do you have any ideas?
Can you read out the names of markers via MIDI Remote and also locate them directly by name or id?
There is a key command for Activate Punch In/Out. But how can you read out the state of it. With the old Generic Midi it was possible.
What ist the purpose of having commands to rotate through a collection of options link the midi/audio recording modes and not being able to know the what state you selected.
For every command a feedback channel ist needed.
Correct. As a workaround, you can use the mSecondary and have it set to bars+beats all the time, just to be sure.
However, there is a way to momentarily change the format of the primary or secondary to bars+beats, get/set the bars+beats and revert to the previous format.
For both the locators and punchIn and other states, you can use the relatively new directAccess object of MIDI Remote API. From Steinberg: DirectAccess | MIDI REMOTE API
I looked into it. But if you don’t know the internals of Cubase you have a problem.
From Generic Remote I would expect it to be here mTransport.mValue, but
midiremote_api_v1.js only has a very limited amount of entries. Or is there a midiremote_api_v1**_3**.js? I’m using Cubase 15.
