i have m-audio oxygen pro mini and i am trying to map it to the Midi remote.
cubase detected the faders and some other buttons, but it does not detects the pitch and mod wheels and trigger pads (they do work on their own, but it just not detected in the midi remote when i want to map it)
how can i solve it?
Hi,
Do they all send MIDI data via the same MIDI port?
Hi Martin, thank you for the reply.
after testing it, it seems they are not on the same port. i guess my only option is to map it twice, one for each port, right? or is there any work around to channel both ports to the same template?
Right.
Either by using external utilities to reroute both ports to a unique one, or by using scripting, which provides support for multiple ports.
I think that you should simply create another remote, just for the mod wheel and the pads…
thank you for the answer. i have another little issue,.
the knobs are switching values in a district way, between two values only (-80, 6) and not as a continues stream of values, like the faders. it just jump between those two values no matter how i trun the knob.
what can cause it?
This means that they are in a relative mode, which you should choose for each knob. Press the “pencil” in order to edit your midi remote surface elements, then choose one knob for a start, and change the type from absolute, to relative. There are more than one relative modes, you have to experiment for a while, to see what fits. Once you find it, apply the same relative mode to your other knobs
thanks m.c! nice and simple
