Hi I have recently moved from a MacBook Pro m2 to a Mac Studio m3 max.
Since then in Cubase pro 14 all my midi instruments show up fine but I can not get any vsts to play via the midi keyboards or record midi notes. The audio from the internal sounds from the midi keyboards work but I seem to be missing something with the midi.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Cubase 14 pro but the same issue persists.
All my vsts in stand alone play from my midi keyboards fine as normal. I’m lost iv tried everything, this seems like something very simple I’m missing?

Check Prefs/midi filters
Perhaps there is a MIDI channel mismatch between what’s getting transmitted and what the VSTi is set to play?
Have you tried using a MIDI Monitor Insert to see what is getting sent to the VSTi?

Still can’t get anything the midi shows up but I can’t get any control of my vsts?
How do I completely reset everything without deleting Cubase?

Add some more info to help…what do you mean the midi shows up? You see metering?
If you hit record and play some notes what exactly happens…is an event created? does it disappear when you hit stop?
Did you check midi filters? Can you show a screencap.
Yes it is most likely related to how you have MIDI data getting routed in your Project. But as long as you describe the issue in generalities & not specifics no one can really help. For example we don’t even know if you are trying to use Instrument or MIDI Tracks. If you are just starting Cubase pretend MIDI Tracks don’t even exist & stick with Instrument Tracks.
How do you know this? If it is just the MIDI Indicator flashing a bit that only tells you that it detects some kind of MIDI message on a MIDI Input. It’s up to you to take those messages and route them to your intended destination. The indicator is kind of like a doorbell ringing. You know someone rang it but not who or why or what to do about it.
No, don’t even go there, that’s just taking the long way to get nowhere.
Please post some screenshots that match what I’ve posted below, making sure anything I’ve circled is visible in your pics.
