My midi signal is only playing back in my left channel during listening and after recording. I’m using Cubase 12, the latest Windows and as my interface a Allen & Heath QU24. What can be the problem?
Hi and welcome to the forum,
MIDI data don’t playback. The synthesizer plays back.
Where do you send the MIDI data to?
I send the midi data from my Nord Stage 2 or a AKAI MPK 49 to Groove Agent or either other internal instrument within Cubase. My connection is directly from my hardware to the DAW.
Hi,
So Groove Agent is the sound generator, right?
What Audio Device do you use?
Yes, or any VST instrument. I’m using an Alan & Heath QU24 as my interface. Windows on my DAW and a Nord Stage 2 and AKAI MPK 24 as midi-controllers.
Hi,
How does the Audio Connections > Outputs (or Control Room) look like? Could you attach a screenshot?
Do you use headphones? Isn’t it the jack reduction issue?
No, it’s not all of this. The sound coming from the VST instruments is send to the left output channel. My panning is in the middle.
Hi,
If you send it to the left output, you can hear it in the left channel only.
I don’t send it to the left channel, It’s what the system does. That’s the point.
Hi,
So what is the output of the Groove Agent?
You need to show your settings with some screencaps…Audio connections outputs and then the track output selection (in inspector)
Maybe at some point midi controller 8 or 10 were sent with an order to set the midi channel to full left.
