MIDI timing problems

Hi all
I have a strange behaviour these days
I use Cubase in rewire mode with Reason
Reason sounds a drum part (through drrex) while Cubase play a bass part (through trillian) programmed with a midi file
Now if I start play from 1.1.1.0, bass part sounds not in sync with drum (like the bass starts playing a bit after the drums) but if I start play somewhere in the song (well after 1.1.1.0) bass sound in sync with drum as expected.
This sounds really strange to me since never happened before.
Any help and suggestions please ?
Thanks in advance
Antonio

You start cubase before reason right?

I always set up on the 2nd bar. It works if you start a bar early?

Or will is work if you just start on bar 2?

Yes … of course… reason after Cubase
Unfortunately starting 2 or whatever bar above dont change the midi timing problem
Found here that setting off the play focus button on reason solved the same problem I described.
Unfortunately here this didn’t work. If I disable the play focus on reason, the reason sequencer doesn’t start anymore … that means working with Cubase alone.

Since I like to use daw for music and not to complicate and lost my inspiration, I solved with the old trick  but boring: reprogramming the reason parts inside Cubase.
At least I will continue to play
