It sounds like you’re asking this to get a kind of universal feel for how to approach velocity, but each virtual instrument has its own way of responding to it.
On the other hand, the Logical Editor has an Average Velocity context variable for filtering by velocity.
For (c.) it’s good for softening the machine gun effect of rapid, identical notes, among similar uses. I don’t find it ever adds expressiveness.

Thanks! Most of what I create are orchestrated works which include Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, Harp, and Strings. I want to try adjusting the velocity to get the sections to sound as real as possible.
