Migrating from 32bit to 64bit

I would like to migrate from XP 32bit to Win7 64bit and was wondering what the best practice process is for installing Cubase Studio 5. Win7 64bit will be on a brand new HDD.

Do I have to uninstall Cubase 5 Studio from the XP drive before I installing on the Win7 drive?

Is there anything I need to do with the e-Licence USB or does the current licence cover both 32bit and 64bit installs?

Can I have Cubase on both the XP and Win7 drives?

Nope.

Nope. Covers both.

Yep.

You can have installed both a 32 bit version and a 64 bit version simultaneously (under the same OS even). However, I wouldn’t recommend running them simultaneously. Unless you want a good computer stress test.

Keep in mind that if you want to run both under Windows 7 64 bit, it is best to install the 32 bit version fresh.

Many thanks.
