Minor Screen-Freezing Issue

I’m on Cubase 9.0.30, Mac OSX 10.11.4 El Capitan.

Whenever I first start up Cubase and attempt to open a file location, whether that’s – prompting Cubase to create a new project directory at a location on my hard drive, opening a video file, open an existing project - it will cause my Mac’s Finder to freeze for anywhere from 10-15 seconds. During this time, I can only move my mouse. There is no interactivity on my computer besides mouse movement. Once this has happened, I can open files freely in Cubase without screen freeze until I close and restart Cubase, then the problem happens again.

This is not a workflow breaking issue, but it only makes me concerned about Cubase’s stability on my operating system. Since upgrading to the latest Cubase 9.0.30 from 9.0.20, this has reduced the freezing time from on average 20-25 seconds down to 10-15 seconds, thankfully.
