Hello. I have an old version of CUBASE. I would like to buy the Artist version 11. My question is: do I have to uninstall everything from CUBASE 5 before installing Artist 11?
Normally you don’t, as each Cubase version has its own installation folder.
During the installation process, the preferences should be copied from your C5 installation to the new one. This said, I’m wondering if it will still be the case with two versions so different : I guess so, at least partially, but still… If you don’t want this to happen and prefer a reconfiguration from scratch, rename the Preferences folder of your current C5 version just before installing the new one. Should do the trick…
