Missing audio at beginning of Cycle/Flex Loop

v3.0.41 experiencing missing “bite” when cycling a few bars (8brs) wav file like:

the first bite on ||: 3 is missing, anyone else?

seems 3.0.40. does the same issue, not *.41 specific

Nop. Tried with and without MP, with soundcard and with builtin speakers. Everything’s okay on my Ryzen5, except the click when it jumps to Cycle Start.

Tried both versions (experienced with 41 yesterday, today tried with 40. No diff, bug appears). Will create a test proj

environment: Mac, 64samples, 48k. No plugin, all is put together in a fresh project.
Note, not always happening in the test project… but the “not always” is a no-go cycle for live performance.

It’s a rounding problem. Your precise circumstances (Tempo, loop length etc) lead to exposing it, thanks for reporting. Will be fixed with the next version.

Hi @musicullum I dont know if its related but experienced such “bite on first note” when demonstrating flex loop to a musician friend (v3.0.42). The symphton is similar
Recipe:
create parts
Set flex-reaction-time to 1BAR
Clicked on different parts randomly
(To give him idea how its working)
… not pushing, not urgent, but reporting in case of that one relates (today quick repeat with 3.0.44)
Probability is around 30%

In your very heavy loaded projects can imagine it just cannot preload in time, although a bar should be sufficient (depends on the tempo, of course). How when using 2 bars?

It was an empty project to quickly show him what flex-loop is for. Then repeated as “home test” with v3.0.44 and it looked absolutely similar to what you’ve fixed at Cycle loop with the rounding-problem.

So if you say, all good and can’t be reproduced, just let it go.

It looks like we found something “eating” beats…will report.

as reported elsewhere, if you manually jump to another Part with FlexLoops, it could create a “hiccup” (or short silence, “missing a beat”), that will be fixed with the next version.

Exactly what happened to me when demonstrated fleex loop. Related (few bar long) manual PARTjumps back and forth randomly
