Missing functions in Cubase 14

I noticed two small but important functions for my workflow are missing in Cubase 14. Is this an oversight or deliberate?

  1. The ability to increment or decrement channel volume using the keyboard up and down arrow keys. In previous versions if you clicked in the channel volume value field and then shift+Ctrl+up/down arrow keys you could increment/decrement the volume by a 1 db at a time. This seems to be no longer possible.

  2. The ability to right click an eq node in the eq section to bring up a menu is no longer there. In previous versions if you right clicked one of the four eq nodes for each band you could access the following menu which allowed you to do a number of things.

This seems to be no longer available which is surprising because it’s very useful. I used to copy and invert the bands in mixing all the time.

Can anyone say if this is an oversight that will be fixed or not?

Hi Shay, both of these issues are known problems which should be fixed in the upcoming maintenance update. For the second one, as a workaround, you should also be able to copy&paste, invert, etc. individual bands via the context menu on the header below the display until the fix has been released.

Hi Jendrik,
what about the ability to completely navigate the mix console with the cursor keys and control levels/panning/send with ALT-up/down, which worked perfectly in Cubase 12 and doesn’t work at all win C14? Will that also be fixed in a maintenance update?

That’s good news! Thanks for the reply Jendrik :+1:
