Missing sustain pedal (CC64) after importing .cbp to .cpr

Hi, today I recorded a Midi-piano track within Cubasis 3 (using Pure Piano) on my iPad and then shared the .cbp file via email with my PC which is running Cubase 12. My plan was to use a different instrument in Cubase (some NI Komplete piano) and to edit minor errors in the playing.

I easily imported the cbp. to my .cpr project after I did install the import converter provided by Steinberg before. But the CC64 sustain pedal information seems to be missing now within Cubase. The file is played back without the sustain pedal effect and I cannot see any CC64 information in the Cubase 12 Midi Editor. I did a test and sent the exact same .cbp file on to another iPad (that doesn’t have pure Piano installed) and there I do see the CC64 data (although the stock piano didn’t playback the CC64, too).

So the CC64 information is obviously existing within the .cbp file, but somehow Cubase is not showing and using it. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Hi @FROSTBOX

Thanks for your report which has been shared with the team.

Are you able to reproduce the issue when using an internal piano instrument such as MicroSonic?

Best,
Lars

Hi Lars, yes I could reproduce the issue with Microsonic

Hi @FROSTBOX

Thanks for your message.

Unfortunately we are unable to reproduce the problem.

Please send us a short clip which shows the steps to reproduce the problem, and add the project too.

Thanks
Lars
