Missing a hole lot of steinberg templates in cubase 14 pro hub
If you’re on Mac open a project on C13, than do “Save as a template”. Before actually saving the template you can right click on the suggested location, and select “Show in Finder”, just so you can easily get to the right location.
You can copy all the templates you had a the previous version on the respective folder in C14.
Hope this helps.
I m on Windows, i copy som of the templates in programfiler cubase 13 over to c 24 it works
My folder is empty right after install.
Same problem her I,m on windows I was going in to c programfiler cubase 13 and copy prosject template over to cubase 14 project template It works
Don,t delete cubase 13 before you doing it
Mine are missing as well are these the solutions above or is there a better fix because I tried the above and still have none. All that shows up in media bay are production templates no recording templates.
You must copy c programfiler ,cubase 13 prosjekt templates over to cubase 14 prosjekt templates
Sendt fra Outlook for Android
Tried this it didn’t work
I’ll check this out, but it seems like we shouldn’t have to do this sort of thing with a new improved program. What else hasn’t come over from C13? Thanks
You can find the C14 factory templates in the C14 installation folder.
On PC typically this would be here:
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 14\Project Templates
Copy them over to, again PC:
C:\Users\{youraccountname}\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 14_64\Project Templates
cubase 13 to cubase 14 ?
Thanks Johnny this does work! Still a pain the butt tho.
We found scanning problems in folders with multibyte-unicode-characters. This can be a reason for differing behaviour in scanning. Consider the user-name could contain such a character, then problems in user-content locations (some legacy factory content locations as well) are likely.
A fix is in the pipeline and expected for the next MediaBay release after 1.2.20.
We will test the fix against Project Template scanning and migration.
I checked C12 → C13 → C14 with MediaBay 1.2.20 on a user account with unicode-chars, and still can’t reproduce any problems concerning project-templates neither not shown templates while saving, nor missing templates from migration, they all end up where they should:
Could someone who is still experiencing problems with Project Templates, please pm me their Steinberg MediaBay Server Preferences for investigations?
These are the Factory Content - Project Templates. With C14 we started to provide individual presets per derivative, so you’ll see subfolders inside this folder:
Those of the actual Cubase version running will automatically appear in the MediaBay:
Note: there are currently no templates of the “Recording” category shown in the Hub, because there aren’t any.
These are the User Content - Project Templates, they do not provide subfolders. If you did not set the Template Category tag while saving a new Project Template then they appear in the “More” tab of the Hub.
This folder inside the “Cubase Preferences” gets migrated from last previous version available (for two generations):
Also appear in the MediaBay:
No explicit scanning needed at my place.
I must consider the installation of the systems affected somehow differs from mine (I used only release versions C12, 13, 14 & MB 1.2.20 to test).
Without new insight into the problem I need to give up investigations for now. As mentioned before, you are welcome to pm me the Steinberg MediaBay Server preferences if you keep experiencing problems here.
Cheers,
Jörg
Dear Jörg,
Thank you for following up on this matter.
I’ve just sent you a private message with the “Steinberg MediaBay Server” folder preference and a few screenshots. Please let me know if you haven’t received it.
Thanks a lot!
