I create a sampler track, drag in a sample from media bay and everything works fine. Then I try to drag in a different sample from media bay and the waveform view shows a flat line (or maybe nothing - I can’t really tell), the background where the waveform was is much darker and the controls at the loop start no longer work. However, the new sample plays back like it should and everything else works.
Same issue when marking a range on an audio event and using Ranges → Create Sampler Track. It creates a sampler track and shows the start and end points aligning with the range I selected, but no waveform display. Kind of difficult to edit!
