when switching between projects (not quiting nuendo), track visibility in mix console (attach chanels to left or right edge) resets to default (centre).
also, controll room loudness preset is removed, and loudness meter is resized in edit window.

Preferences > General > Open Projects in Last Used View
I set this to never.
Also, this might be affecting your control room behaviour:
Preferences > VST > Do Not Connect Input/Output Busses When Loading External Projects
yes, tried that, nothing works.
suprised to see that no one comented on this because this bug is from Nuendo 8 ( at least on my system).
