Hi Sav,

listening to your fresh mix at the moment.

It certainly sounds very smooth and clear.
Very nice Yairi! Nicer bass tone.
I think the Matons are (still) more upfront and louder
in the mix than the vocals set behind them, but much
better than the first version.
Can’t much hear any ebow here.

With my own fresh mix, it was the valve pre that
helped consolidate the bass and bottom end, I thought.
It was readily apparent in A/B tests. The ATR tape is a tad silkier
compared to the 456 of my initial mix.

Cheers for the extra feedback, I agree, my volumes are still out of whack.
I removed the silly low pass that I put on the Bass then removed it from the kick group track.
Removed the fairchild and replaced it with the new T-racks Black 76 Limiting Amplifier.

The Yairi originally had the Fairchild with acousitc gtr preset (not much needle movement going on)
Pultec - top end preset.
Studio EQ; -2.6 at 385 Q1, -7 at 883 Q10, -7 at 3379 Q10, -7 at 1474 Q10.

for the new version, replaced fairchild with the new plugs.
