mixer snapshots, does it work?

it legitimately works?
it saves ALL settings in the mixer? the inserts, strip, routing, pre, cue mixes even?

control room inserts too, or no?
mixer automation too? or…

I guess, in what ways is it different from actually saving the file? obviously the arrange window is not saved in a mixer snapshot, but there is automation related to the mixer there…

No. This is handled as system settings, not project related.

No, automation is part of the “project” area, so you can find this in the (old, common, Edit…) History.
