Mixing in Project or With Stems (wav)

HI All,

Can I effectively mix directly in my project, or do I need to render to wav file stems and mix from there.

I have noticed my project rendered to stereo file sounds noticeably different then when listening directly from the project. PS, I don’t have golden ears, not even bronze.

We in post do that all the time, without the “need to render to wav file stems and mix from there.”

Something is wrong then. Either with your workflow or routing or something.
