I don’t have monitors right now. My master (mp3) sounds crappy compared to the mix on the DAW. Any suggestions?

Most probably the exported MP3 file is almost the same what you here while mixing, if you would use the same headphones to listen the MP3. Most probably the “problem” is you are listening the MP3 with other speakers.
In this case I would recommend you to learn some mixing techniques.
