To celebrate the release of our brand-new premium Verve Felt and Etude Grand stand-alone piano apps for iPhone and iPad*, and the major Cubasis 3.8 update - now featuring amps and stomps for guitarists and bassists and more - we’re excited to offer a great intro deal and more app discounts until January 7, 2025.
On Android, the new Verve and Etude pianos are available via Cubasis for Android in-app purchases.
I purchased the Etude piano app. It downloaded fine but then there was insufficient space on my device (iPhone 12) to allow me to install the samples. I made space, deleted the app and reinstalled it. It seemed to install fine and all the different presets show, but there is no sound. I’ve also tried installing within Cubasis 3 - still no sound plays. I’ve repeated these steps 3-4 times but nothing.
Thanks Sam, yes checked if it was on mute but unfortunately it wasn’t. The app downloads & and installs without issue. But when I look at the Etude app in phone storage, it’s still only 31MB. The app seems to think the piano samples are already installed, but they’re not.
Weird,
I have no issues with it on my devices, it’s ~800MB download…
The app is small because the sounds are stored in a separate ‘Storage Container’ shared between apps and You should be able see ‘Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH’ under storage.
I would suggest deleting and re-installing the app which should in theory force a re-download of the content…
@LSlowak How do we ‘manage’ the content in the Steinberg Storage Container?! (Ie. if I delete one of the apps app the downloaded content stays put in the container so it’s not possible to force a ‘re-download’ or remove/un-install larger downloads other than by deleting all the apps that use the container?!).
Currently my Steiberg Container is 5.33GB which is way more than Verve and Etude (and Halion Sonic) downloads combined (unless they are expanded during install?).
I do not have Iconica Sketch so my suspicion is that most of the other content is Halion Sonic (Which should in theory make it possible to ‘expose it’ as an AUv3 when Cubasis is installed).
Did you install the Etude Stand-Alone app from the App Store?
Once it’s downloaded, and you launch the app you should see a Download Content button. What happens when you tap that button?
Below please find a screenshot of the download button, and a short clip how it looks like after the download has completed (and the piano is ready to play).
Thanks so much for pointing that out - I hadn’t realised that all the Steinberg app content was stored in the same box.
So I deleted Cubasis & all the Steinberg apps on my device, then reinstalled them one after another. And finally Etude worked along with everything else.
thanks for getting back to me. Advice Samuel gave me worked out - I had to fully empty the Steinberg content on my device and reinstall them all from scratch and then Etude worked .
