I only want to use the modulation in a certain part of my arrangement. When I bypass the modulation, however, the panning is stuck at a certain value, L70 in my case:
I would like to have the panning jump back to the center when I bypass the modulator. I cannot edit the panning because it jumps back to the value that seems to be dictated by the modulator (it’s behaving like it is still being automated) and trying to write in an automation for the panning doesn’t help either - the automation is completly ignored.
Do you have any ideas how to fix this?
thank you for your quick reply and your suggestions.
As for the two approaches you recommended:
Using the bypass of the connection area works and the panner jumps back to the center. However, this doesn’t help in my case because there doesn’t seem to be a way to automate the bypass of the connection area. So there seems to be no way way for me to switch the connection on for a certain part of the arrangement. If there is I’d be happy to know how it’s done.
Switching the connection from bi-polar to uni-polar changes the behaviour of the modulation and I want to keep that the same. So unfortunately this isn’t a solution either.
This seems like a bug to me. Does anyone have any other idea or should I report a bug?
Do you have any news about this? IMO, the problem is with the various modulation connections that don’t give the option to Automate at all. Simple bypass automation on a specific Modulation connection or automation on the Modulation Depth of that connection would do the trick, but those options just don’t exist. That renders the whole idea of the modulators quite useless.
