Monitor 4k For Cubase

I see this as a second screen.

For as supervision and mediabay and vsti. But it’s like you say, getting old and can’t use 4k too small, and not all screens have good scaling in them. and it gets weird scaling and blurry.

I’m like 70 cm from the screen and have 27" 1440p which I can scale up +25 but it gets blurry, but want my main screen 1-1.2 m on the wall so I can have my smaller equipment on my table and other things like you bring out sometimes, as well as having equipment under the screen. have a small room that I need to streamline.

what advice do you have for the main monitor and second screen.

quite nice to have 2 screens. but it is clear that a large one also works just more button presses

Hi I run 2 50" 4k tvs for Cubase. I don’t use 4k as it causes so many issues with font sizes in Cubase and in third party plugins. It’s just easier in normal HD and when I did run in 4k I could see nbo visual difference worth mentioning

how far from are you sitting from the screen, i want the 4-5k sharpness but cubase size like 1080? but have room for things like 4-5k. You understand what i meen.

for me, TVs are the way to go for 4K. I have something like a 44 inch TCL that cost me like $400 a few years ago, and it’s fantastic. the only minor downside is that I need to use the remote to turn it on–but I got used to that very quickly, and don’t even notice it anymore. not worth spending more than double that for a computer monitor of that size, if you’re mainly just doing audio work. it also has the added benefit of being a TV, so if I ever upgrade, hey, free backup TV.

I keep it on my desktop the same distance away as I used to have my 1080P, and the pixel density is essentially the same, but with vastly more screen area than my previous setup. the key was to take measurements of my desk and monitors and make sure I got the right size TV to sit between my monitors. might be more difficult if using monitor stands instead.

Then you have bad eyes like me, i blame it on cubase  what is the name of the monitor? I only have gpui drivning my monitor with my cpu. Have no grafic card

And what sub types are best for cubase?

I am using onboard gpu also to run a 50’‘QLED and 2 HD 22’’ touchscreen monitors all connected via HDMI.
The 50’’ has a bit of latency though, not a problem when working but meters do not correspond to correct timing. But I always have the mixer on the small ones so I don’t really care.
Probably this would get fixed with an external gpu.

The latency on the TV is probably caused by the TV’s own "video processor’, not the GPU.

Check if you have a ‘game mode’ on the TV you could use, and/or disable any fancy modes.
For example, ‘sports mode’ can interpolate frames to enhance fast moving action. Interpolation=calculation=latency.

Some TVs can also add several ms to the video to help lip syncing.
And make sure you drive it in its native resolution and frame rate.

Using a TV can be a good option, but not always “out of the box” without investing some time in all its menus.

yeah actually game mode helped, i think its latency free now or at least better than before. thank you

Lg OLED CX11 65" has good picture on 160cm distance that you can see details. 55" had before but fonts were to small to read. After 2 years of everyday usage I have no burn in on oled but I have set up my tv to around 60% brightness. My opinion is to buy so big screen that you can use its native resolution without to zoom. When all plugins and also cubase will support zoom like fab filter and some others than is ok with smaller sizes.
