I have routed and played live MIDI many times in the past, but picking up with Cubase again after a detour away from it (and after updating to Cubase 14) I don’t seem to be able to make it work.
Am I overlooking a setting? Is there perhaps a bug?
Thanks to anyone who can advise me on why I’m not getting the expected result here.
This means I should see everything except SysEx, yes?
The port, ‘loopMIDI DAW to KMo’ is indeed a virtual port, provided by loopMIDI. I have extensive experience with loopMIDI and it’s ports, which have a history here of working very well. So, unless Cubase has changed it’s treatment of non-actual-harware ports, I don’t think that itself should be an issue(?).
re: loopMIDI - Yes, I’m aware of what it is and does. Been using it for years to drive my KARMA Motif software. One must be careful not to attach a loopMIDI port to both the input (explicitly, or via All Ins) and output sides of a track, else you will get a MIDI loop.
Current mystery here is missing MIDI data (rather than too much!).
Good eye re: the mute, but no, that is not the problem. (Just an imperfection in the picture I posted!) IOW, making sure the Mute is not On does not solve it.
